Glycerin
Glycerin is a natural skin moisturiser, derived from organic vegetable oils. Glycerin has high water-binding capabilities that draw and absorb water from the air. Glycerine helps skin to retain moisture.
Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil
Huile d'argan
Argan oil is a plant oil produced from the kernels of the argan tree, Argania Spinose. Argan oil is rich in essential fatty acids, which support the health and beauty of the skin and hair.
Cetearyl Alcohol
Cetearyl alcohol is not the typical alcohol we usually think of (ethyl alcohol and ethanol), but rather a waxy substance acquired from plants, which improves the structure of the cosmetic product. Cetearyl alcohol gently coats skin with a thin protective layer that minimises the loss of moisture from skin by evaporation, known as transepidermial water loss.
Cellulose
Natural cellulose is obtained from wooden fibres. Wood for this raw material comes from renewable sources and sustainable forestry. Cellulose provides a non-greasy after feel.
Sodium PCA
Sodium PCA is a derivative of naturally occurring amino acid proline; it is used as a conditioning agent. Sodium PCA mimics natural moisturising factors (NMFs) of the skin, it helps to maintain the optimum level of skin moisture.
Isoamyl Laurate
Isoamyl laurate is a plant based ester oil, a low viscosity liquid with a neutral colour and scent in formulations used as an emmolient.
Zinc PCA
Zinc PCA is a salt of zinc and carbonic acid that is antibacterial, moisturising, and rejuvenating. It regulates the formation of skin sebum reducing the skin shine. Helps to maintain the level of skin moisture making it smooth and supple.
Aroma
Terms "fragrance", "perfume" and "aroma" are used to indicate the presence of aromatic substances in a cosmetic product. In MADARA products aromatic compositions are made entirely of natural raw materials without synthetic molecules.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride
Caprylic/capric triglyceride is derived from coconut oil and plant-derived glycerine, serves as an emollient.
Propanediol
Acts as humectant, emollient, skin penetration enhancer and solvent. Boosts preservative efficacy, improves skin moisturization and is 100% natural. It is made from renewable sugar fermentation.
Polyglyceryl-6 Behenate
Stabilisateur d'émulsion : Favorise le processus d'émulsification et améliore la stabilité et la durée de conservation de l'émulsion. (Compatible en bio).
Alcohol
Natural ethyl alcohol or ethanol. Derived from grains (wheat and rye) as a result of fermentation of sugars. Ethyl alcohol is a colourless, evaporating fluid that has a light odour. Alcohol is used as a natural and safe preservative for cosmetic products, as well as a dissolvent for various active ingredients. According to LD50 RBT dermal test results Alcohol is a considerably milder preservative than butylparaben, phenoxyethanol, organic acids and benzyl alcohol.
Xanthan Gum
Xanthan gum is a natural thickener that provides stability for cosmetic products. Derived from sugars (glucose and sucrose) using natural fermentation process.
Ilex Paraguariensis (Mate) Leaf Extract
Extrait naturel de feuilles de maté (végétal), aide à maintenir la peau en bon état.
Palmitic Acid
Palmitic acid is natural fatty acid derived from palm oil. Helps to prevent the loss of skin moisture, as well as make cream apply smoothly and easily.
Stearic Acid
Stearic acid is a natural fatty acid, made from vegetable oils. Gently coats skin with a protective layer and reduces the evaporation of moisture. Gives body to cosmetic products.
Ascorbyl Palmitate
Ascorbic Acid or Vitamin C, its salts, and esters are used in the formulation of cosmetics as potent water-soluble antioxidants. Ascorbic Acid is an essential nutrient required for collagen production and tissue repair.
Tocopherol
Tocopherol is a natural vitamin E, derived from soy beans. Vitamin E is one of the most important antioxidants and free-radical scavengers. Helps to protect cellular membrane from free-radical damage. Helps to slow the aging processes of skin and formation of wrinkles. Promotes skin water-binding ability, healing and renewal abilities.
Potassium Hydroxide
Potassium alkali (also called lye or caustic potash) is manufactured from Potassium Chloride and water solution via electrolysis. Helps to balance pH level of cosmetic product.
Sodium Phytate
Sodium phytate is a natural antioxidant derived from rice bran.
Sodium Hyaluronate
Sodium salt of Hyaluronic acid, produced biotechnologically. Sodium Hyaluronate is a moisturiser with excellent water-binding capabilities. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the dermis. Its large molecular structure allow the epidermis to achieve greater suppleness and proper plasticity. Facilitates absorption of other active ingredients.
CI 77007 (Ultramarines)
Mineral pigment violet CI77007 is a high purity ultramarine violet mineral pigment.
Glucose
Glucose is a sugar that is generally obtained by the hydrolysis of starch. Monosaccharide that has water-binding and skin hydrating properties.
Glucuronic Acid
Glucuronic Acid is a natural carbohydrate. It has skin conditioning and humectant properties.
Silica
A natural powder, which is similar to quartz in molecular structure. Aids in stabilising the consistency of the cosmetic product.
Kaolin
Kaolin is white clay. It is a naturally occurring clay mineral (silicate of aluminium) used in cosmetics for its excellent absorbent properties.
